Michael Malia – Founder Emeritus

mjm@mmalia.com

Mike Malia founded M. Malia & Associates in the early 90’s after a successful career implementing electronic surveillance and security systems in the Atlantic City and Las Vegas gaming market, previously working for Pierce Phelps Video Systems Division as well as in house for Bally’s, Steve Wynn’s Golden Nugget and Trump Resorts. Seeing the potential growth of the gaming space beyond these regions, Mike began a small consulting company to assist clients with their regulatory surveillance needs, starting with the planning and opening of Foxwoods. Whether it was the expansion of Native American and Commercial Gaming across the United States or international expansion in the Caribbean, Europe, Macau or Vietnam, Mike worked with multiple clients and regulatory bodies to open many of the first gaming establishments in new jurisdictions. Mike’s well-known presence in the industry later led him to become a trusted corporate advisor to many gaming companies including the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Wynn Resorts, Isle of Capri Resorts and many others. Mike has retired from project work but is still available as a valuable asset to the MMA team and its clients.
